Finely split, kiln-dried, ready to use
Kindling is the bridge between firelighter and fuel. Without it, no briquette and no thick log catches cleanly. HEIZFUXX® kindling is made of softwood (spruce, pine), split to around 18 cm length and finger thickness and dried below 20 % residual moisture. The natural resins ensure quick ignition and short, hot flames – exactly what the start-up phase needs.
How top-down lighting works: two to three briquettes or thick logs at the bottom, six to ten pieces of kindling crosswise above, two firelighters on top. Light, leave the door slightly ajar, reduce the air after 15 to 20 minutes. Less smoke, clear glass, quick heat.

Frequently asked questions
How much kindling do I need per fire? Six to ten thin pieces, stacked crosswise. More does not help, less will not get briquettes burning reliably.
Can I use kindling for the fire bowl too? Yes – together with dry firewood it is the cleanest way to light a fire outdoors. Never use liquid firelighters.
How do I store kindling? Dry and airy, in the net or box. It absorbs moisture and then loses its ignitability.
